Area guide
Sol de Mallorca
Sol de Mallorca is a small, almost entirely residential enclave on a headland in the municipality of Calvià, in the south-west of the island. Quiet streets of villas follow the line of the coast, and Palma and the airport are only a short drive along the motorway — a different world from the east coast, closer to the city and its marinas.

On the headland
The area is made up almost entirely of villas along quiet, well-kept streets. The shore here is rocky rather than sandy, with ladders and bathing platforms cut into the rock and a few small coves close by — the classic south-west coast, made for swimming off the rocks in deep, clear water.
Close to everything
The marina of Port Adriano and several golf courses are nearby, and the wider Calvià coast has restaurants, beach clubs and international schools. Palma, its old town, shops and cultural life are a short drive away, which makes this corner popular with buyers who want the sea and the city both within easy reach.
Property
Most homes are detached villas, many with direct sea views. Waterfront plots are few and rarely come to market, so when one does it tends to attract attention quickly.
